Grow African Hair Long GAHL
  • Thank you all for being patient because this post was supposed to be up yesterday!
Thanks to you tube I found this lovely hairstyle. I loved this one so much that I decided to keep it for one more day.
The tools I needed to achieve this look were:
    Bobby pins.
    A soft bristle brush.
    Hair gel( soft hold)

It was quite challenging to achieve because it was my first time trying it out, but I am sure that next time will be a lot faster. It is a very good protective style as all the ends get tucked away and hidden. The other thing I like about this style is that if well covered at night for bed, it will last a long time so that makes it a low manipulation style as well.
This is also perfect for everyday as well as for special occasions.

Yesterday was the first day of my 7 day different hairstyle challenge! I started out by conditioning my hair with a mixture of the Zoe white conditioner ( review coming soon) glycerin and coconut oil. I then had my hair steamed for thirty minutes at a nearby salon. After rinsing and airdrying my hair it was time to style!
    Airdried hair. Note the shrinkage!

This hairstyle was really easy to do and all I needed was. Soft brush, gel ( soft hold), bobby pins & water.

I really like how the hairstyle came out, it is a great protective style and is stylish enough for everyday and special occasions.

Today while going through my hair pictures, It came to my attention that I was literally only wearing one hairstyle! Even when I do bantu knots out and braid outs, they always end up being bunned up after a day or two.

I love my buns very much, but I would like to try out other hairstyles as well. This is why I am challenging myself to try out different hairstyles this coming week. It will be quite a challenge for me because my buns are normally very low maintenance.
